WASHINGTON – “Rally Point,” an event to connect veterans with services in their community, will be held in Chattanooga on Tuesday, October 8, at the First Tennessee Pavilion.

Rally Point is a free event open to all Tennessee veterans and their families and will feature more than 50 agencies and organizations with information on a number of resources, including: VA claim assistance, vocational rehabilitation, education, employment, mental health, housing, and business loans.

Rally Point is sponsored by the offices of U.S. Senators Bob Corker and Lamar Alexander and U.S. Congressman Chuck Fleischmann, as well as Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke and Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger.

The event will be the fifth in a series of Rally Point events organized by Senator Corker’s office in an effort to provide veterans with a one-stop shop to access local resources. Last year, more than 1,200 Tennesseans attended Rally Point events in Knoxville, Jackson, Cookeville and Gallatin.
